Laughing at the Sun believes in supporting the ever-growing art community in Las Cruces. By committing to exhibit only locally made work, Laughing at the Sun positively impacts the arts community. Laughing at the Sun offers artists the resources to sell their work to local art patrons and the many tourists who visit Old Mesilla. Laughing at the Sun also encourages our artists to network with others in an attempt to strengthen ties within the arts community.

Laughing at the Sun is committed to promoting the visual arts in a non-traditional gallery setting by featuring monthly exhibits by emerging artists. Mostly contemporary in scope, Laughing at the Sun sees the potential for work that pushes the envelope in form and function. Laughing at the Sun showcases a variety of artworks, including paintings, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, functional objects and much more. Laughing at the Sun also carries music by local artists and musicians. It is within the space of Laughing at the Sun that one can see the excitement and strength of a burgeoning art scene.
